Blue Note Crossroads Named “Best in Show” at the Denver International Spirits Competition

Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished with Several Types of Toasted French Oak Staves Also Earns Double Gold Medal and 96-point Rating

Memphis, TN (April 2, 2025) – Blue Note Bourbon™, the award-winning whiskey portfolio which is artfully crafted to honor the rich blues music that is synonymous with Memphis, is thrilled to announce that its Crossroads Straight Bourbon Whiskey was named “Best in Show” at the 14th Annual Denver International Spirits Competition (DISC). Blue Note Crossroads also received a Double Gold Medal and 96 rating out of a possible 100 points.

Recognized as one of the world’s premier competitions, DISC accepts spirits in more than 125 categories and is judged double-blind by a seasoned team of certified spirits specialists and experienced buyers. This year’s competition took place over three weekends in March. A final “Best of Show” tasting with nine senior judges occurred at Burn’s Pub in Broomfield, Colorado. Joining Blue Note Crossroads as “Best in Show” winners were Stranahan’s Blue Peak Solera Finish American Single Malt Whiskey and Sazerac 18-Year-Old Rye.

Crossroads combines the unmistakable boldness of Blue Note Bourbon with the sophistication of the finest, toasted French oak curated from an artisan cooperage in Centre-Val de Lorge. The expression features a mash bill of 70% corn, 21% rye, and 9% malted barley and is bottled at 100-proof, unfiltered. In addition to the 2025 DISC, Crossroads won a Platinum Medal at the 2024 San Francisco World Spirits Competition as a result of winning Double Gold in 2022, 2023 and 2024. Crossroads is available for purchase online at BlueNoteBourbon.com and in 22 U.S. states (as listed below). The suggested retail price for a 750ml bottle is $44.99.

Blue Note’s whiskey portfolio, which also includes Juke Joint ($34.99), Straight Rye Whiskey ($34.99), and Uncut ($49.99), is distilled in partnership with Lofted Spirits (parent company of Bardstown Bourbon Company and Green River Distilling Company) and then aged just north of downtown Memphis where the Mississippi and Wolf Rivers collide. The long summers filled with infamous Memphis heat and cooler evenings forces the whiskey deep into the oak, creating an unmistakably rich flavor that’s bold yet smooth.
